JOHN BIGGS
John is a classically trained dressage rider, trained by Carl Hester, Emile Faurie & a list of other top riders. John specializes in producing young horses, one of which has gone on to be part of the Olympic team at the Rio Olympics Games.
John is known for having a very calm, confidence building manner, working on the psychology of competing – training riders for both Dressage & Eventing. He trains horse & rider for the perfect balance & suppleness leading towards natural self carriage, which is essential for developing lateral work.
You don’t have to be competing to benefit from John expertise, he has a confident calm approach to diagnosing the problems between horse and rider, training riders of all levels from Novice to Advanced.
ELEANOR BIGGS
Eleanor has competed from a young age following closely in her fathers footsteps. Having also trained with Emile Faurie she competed in her first national championships at Hartpury at the age of 15, and has a keen eye for producing ponies.
Eleanor also enjoys teaching, holding clinics and has had several successful seasons Eventing. The Biggs Equestrian social media is run by Eleanor, and continues to grow in numbers daily! Follow both John and Eleanor on Facebook and Eleanor on Instagram.
Eleanor has a stunning line up of horses to compete this season, ranging from very talented ponies and young horses to her main horse – a young Dressage mare by the great stallion Dutch Dormello.
OUR STABLES
We are a private family run yard based in Ellesmere, Shropshire.
Hollyhurst Farm includes a traditional Victorian built stable block set around the house, where all our horses are part of the family. During the summer we hold dressage clinics and training days.
